Dog World Annual out at LKA

NOT SURE what to get for your dog-mad friends or family for Christmas? Or perhaps you just want to treat yourself in these dark winter days.
In that case make sure that you order, or pick up at LKA, a copy of DOG WORLD ANNUAL.
This year’s edition has 16 more pages than 2009’s, and as always contains enough reading material to keep you occupied through the holiday period, all profusely illustrated.
As usual the happenings during the past year in the world of dogs are reviewed in detail, not just for the UK but for major dog-showing nations all around the globe.

Glorious selection

This is the ideal opportunity to feature the dog in art and not only do we have a fascinating article by Nick Waters on contemporary artists who portray dogs, but there is a glorious selection of dogs from the pages of Vogue magazine.
Interviews with Olive Jackson and Mary Swash of the Jokyl Airedale Terriers and with Bill Taylor of the St Aubrey-Elsdon Pekingese make fascinating reading, and this year’s ‘kennel of international significance’ is the De La Parure French Bulldogs.
The Prefix Chinese Cresteds are among the widest travelled of show dogs and Rebecca Agronius gives us some idea of what this involves.
Do we take the dog show stewards for granted? Perhaps we do, but not in this year’s ANNUAL where a number of them have their chance to give their views on this essential part of the show scene.
Juniors have their own pages and other features include the Good Citzien Dog Scheme and the Kennel Club show centre.
All this plus many pages of adverts from leading kennels the world over, and all for just £7.
See it at LKA or order it through www.dogworldshop.com where full details of postage rates can be found.
